Volunteering helped me move from intention to practice, learning how to engage with communities thoughtfully while developing my communication and leadership in real settings. Also, Volunteering with a group I feel aligned with helped me find like-minded people and build meaningful connections within the community.

Being a Team Leader at the Sydney Airport Student Welcome Desk has been very rewarding. I help new international students feel welcomed and less overwhelmed when they first arrive. Training volunteers has also strengthened my leadership and communication skills, while making my student life in Sydney more meaningful and connected to the community

Through LIVE in Australia, I found connection, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging. Volunteering at the International Student Welcome Desk has been especially meaningful, as it allows me to support new students while giving back to the community. It helped me grow, build confidence, and find purpose away from home
